Port Macquarie - Pating koalas and feeding kangaroos :-)

G’Day, How is it going?
We made our way to Port Macquarie because of the Koala and Wildife Park – Billabong Zoo!
Although it rained a little bit, we strolled around and attended all the animal presentations in the morning. Starting with the penguins, then the koalas (unfortunately it is forbidden by law to hold a koala in New South Wales if you are not a caretaker but we were allowed to pat one), the snow leopards (they were just lying around) and at last the crocodile.

Of course there were a lot more other animals like red pandas, parrots, ostrichs, possums etc. But the highlight for us was feeding the kangaroos (the little Wallabys):

We also did a video of pating them but they did not jump a lot around so I did not have the chance to jump after one :-( (see here: My Checklist #5) That will have to wait for later. For lunch we drove into the Town Centre of Port Macquarie which is really nice.

Then we headed further North. Our next stop: Coffs Harbour.
Yours kangaroo-feeding Stefanie
