Coffs Harbour - Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve

Hi there,
After our exciting visit to the Koala and Wildlife Park we headed North to Coffs Harbours for a short visit to the Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve where we did not find a lot of birds but had a great view over the ocean and the harbour.

Then we walked along the beach but it was too windy and cold to stay long. Our hotel for this night is the Coast Inn Motel in Ballina, another 200 km North of Coffs Harbour. We learned not to entirely trust the GPS here as it gets confused sometimes and does not know all the new roads. We actually had to read the road signs and the maps (which we had with us) to find some places and hotels. In the end we managed to get to the motel safely. Tomorrow we will hit the beaches of Byron Bay and the Gold Coast!
Yours beach-seeking Stefanie
