Sunset Coast - Beach-hopping with friends

Servus all together,
It had been forecasted to get over 30 degrees Celsius again and so I thought that is the perfect day to hit the Sunset Coast and do some beach-hopping again. Maria and Kyuwon were immediately hooked on the idea, so at 10am we drove first to Cottesloe Beach. This beach is famous for being close to the richer suburbs of Perth. It is certainly a very clean beach and although it was quite windy there weren't many waves but luckily also not too many people.

The water was quite cold but not nearly as cold as it was at Lucky Bay (where we three have been to together) and once you were in the water for a couple of minutes it was certainly nice.

At 12:30pm we got ourselves some lunch. Maria and I opted for fish and chips whereas Kyuwon went for the Aussie Burger. It had egg, ham and beetroot on it but no pineapple and it certainly was massive! It was so big that Kyuwon didn't even started on her chips. At 1:30 pm we sat off further North to Brighton Beach which is next to Scarborough Beach. We had stronger and higher waves there and even less people. We liked it there better than at Cottesloe.

I think at about 3:30pm we left again to drive further North and stopped at a cafe for coffee/Hot Chocolate and cookies/cake. Then we stopped at Sorrento Beach at 4:30pm where this time we didn't go into the water. We watched the windsurfers and gave Kyuwons chips to the sea gulls.

While we waited for the sunset we took a few pictures of us and the nice sky and the Indian Ocean.

Unfortunately there were a lot of clouds especially at the horizon. So our nice sunset wasn't as nice as we hoped for. We left at about 5:45pm and drove back to the South of Perth. This was such an unexpected great day thanks to Maria and Kyuwon! I had lots of fun and hope to remember this day forever. My next stop: the Dawn Service in King's Park on ANZAC Day!
Yours beach-hopping Stefanie
