Darwin - Markets and nice dinner at sunset

Dear market lovers,
On Sunday the 20th of July 2014 Charlotte and I got up early to clean out our Johnny Cash car and to give away some of our stuff to other campers as we would give back the car the next day to Wickedcamper. After some good work (you wouldn't believe how much dirt can be in such a tiny car even though we cleaned it out in between as well...) we drove into the city again where we headed for the Nightcliff Village Sunday market.

We arrived at 10am, had a Strawberry smoothie each and strolled along the stalls. It was a nice but small market and we went through very quickly.
On the way into the CBD we also stopped shortly at the nice Cullen Bay Marina before we got back to the city lagoon to have a sunbath. Guess whom we met there? Our old travelmate Bastian who we had to leave behind in Broome. And what did he have to tell us? He went on a tour through the Kimberleys and that we owe him more money... He has miscalculated something... Well, we quickly gave him the money and departed again. We tried to relax at the lagoon before we drove to the Mindil Beach Sunset market.

I decided to eat a Hot Crocodile! A crocodile sausage in a bun, wasn't really too nice like the crocodile burger I tried before. After that we both went for a Prawn Cocktail which we enjoyed while watching the sunset at Mindil Beach.

It was a really nice sunset and after listening to some live music we drove back the 40km to the Noonamah Tourist Park at 7:30pm. We went through all our pictures of our roadtrip, I thought about all the changes and turns we have made in our itinerary and how very different this trip has turned out to what I imagined it to be. But we had one more day left.
Our next stop: the Wickedcamper depot in Darwin!
Yours market-visiting Stefanie
